Meet Lori Hill – Founder & CEO of Stow Road Pet Sitters
(Formerly a dog novice, now a devoted dog mom and pet care entrepreneur.)
Lori Hill didn’t grow up with dogs—but everything changed in 2019 when she met her now-husband, Chris, and his rescue pup, Harley. At the time, Harley, a spirited Blue Heeler/Pit Bull mix originally rescued from Georgia, had already made her mark as a lovable handful. Lori was instantly smitten. Despite being new to the dog world, she quickly bonded with Harley’s quirky personality, and the two have been inseparable ever since.
Falling in love with Harley didn’t just make Lori a lifelong dog lover—it was the spark that ultimately led her to build a business centered on pets and their people. Today, she talks about Harley every chance she gets and treats every pet in her care like part of the family.
Lori studied psychology at Framingham State University (then Framingham State College), graduating with honors in 2007. While she briefly pursued graduate studies in social work, her true calling would come later in life—and not the way she expected. It turns out, the universe had a plan. In 2022, Lori officially launched Stow Road Pet Sitters, combining her passion for animals with her background in behavior, empathy, and service.
A proud Marlborough resident, Lori is a mom of three and an active member of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce and its Young Professionals Group. In 2024, she was honored as the Chamber’s Entrepreneur of the Year, a reflection of her commitment to local families and their pets.
Lori is part of the Mayor’s Marlborough Dog Park Advisory Committee, where she brings her knowledge of canine behavior and pet wellness to help ensure the space will be safe, inclusive, and fun for all.
At Stow Road Pet Sitters, Lori leads a passionate team that provides trusted, heart-centered care—because every pet deserves to be treated like Harley.

“Hi, I’m Kaitlyn. I am a Marlborough native. I love being around animals — they bring me so much joy and comfort. I have five cats and one dog.”

“Hey! I’m Ishika — nice to meet you. My family dog in India is a French Mastiff (the pup in the picture with me) and I have cared for many stray cats. While I don’t currently own any pets, I often help care for my neighbors’ dogs, offering to take them for a walk to give them some exercise. I really enjoy the company of pets!”

“Hi, I’m Garrett! I’m going to Assumption University and playing baseball. Currently, I have 2 bunnies and a cat. I love animals and have cared for friends’ and neighbors’ pets many times.”

“Hi, I’m Jagriti or J! I’ve always believed animals are more than pets—they’re our teachers. They’ve shown me what unconditional love truly means, and caring for them is something I deeply enjoy. When you trust me with your furry friend, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved just like they would with you. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I’ll follow their routine and shower them with kindness. Plus, one of my favorite things is to take pictures and videos of pets so you’ll get updates and photos so you never feel out of loop.”

“Hi, my name is Eric and I’m an animal lover who believes every dog deserves adventures, playtime, and plenty of love. I’m excited to make every walk fun, safe, and full of tail wags. I also have lots of experience caring for and spending time with cats.”

“Hi everyone! My name is Joe! I’m from Marlboro, originally from Leominster. I currently have 3 cats Sadie, Candy and Houdini, that are the furry loves of my life and currently in the process of getting a dog. I also have a little bit of experience with bearded dragons. Taking care of my pets has always been a top priority. My animals are one of the best parts of my day from beginning to end of day and can’t imagine life without them. Can’t wait to meet you and your animal family soon!”

“Hi, I’m Cate! I’ve always loved animals and I’m excited to help with doggy daycare! I’m a wildlife biologist, and I work summers studying bird populations. My house is run by a 16 year-old tortoiseshell cat, and I love taking care of my partner’s spaniel mix. I’m looking forward to meeting your pets!”

“Hi, I’m Shauna and I am from Marlborough. I have two dogs, Boomer and Charlie, and two cats, Izzy and Sonic. I am great with animals and enjoy being around them!”
